Postby geoff » Mon May 14, 2018 4:08 am

The incident is said to have taken place on a flight from Nottingham to the holiday island when a male gay couple was allegedly abused by a group of men on the way to Spain. They say the abuse started while in the air and went on when they boarded and started collecting baggage. what do u think about it?? :(

The brand, which has become a sign of pride for their self - identification-this is not common. Male homosexuals in Nazi concentration camps had to wear on their robes pink cloth triangles in the camp language called "pink corners". It is this symbol can be seen in our time on the monuments of the dead during Nazism homosexuals around the world - from Berlin and Amsterdam to tel Aviv, Montevideo and Sydney.

In March 2018, the coalition agreement between CDU/CSU and SPD, an unofficial government program, stated: "we want to recognize the victims of national socialism social groups, which have so far received insufficient attention, and to study their history." Who are these groups? And why are there any differences between the groups of victims?

Of course, European Jews occupy a Central place in the historical memory as the largest group of victims. But at the time of national socialism, Roma, Slavs, Jehovah's witnesses, and homosexuals were persecuted.

The Nazis persecuted them, jailed them, tortured them in concentration camps, many of them died. The study of this dark Chapter of German history is moving slowly. For decades, this topic was taboo, only in the 90s it came to the attention of the public. In contrast to the works of other groups, facing persecution under Nazism, the study of the persecution of homosexuals remains a lot of white spots :!:

His remarkable research, " Removed from the body of the people?"it covers not only individual aspects of the persecution of homosexuals, but, unlike others, it is supra-regional and does not address the problem from the point of view of victims. It is hard to believe, but this is the first really detailed study on this topic since The publication of BURKHARDT Yellonek's thesis in 990.

At first, the Nazis did not think to consider homosexuals as enemies of the nation. In the first year and a half after the proclamation of Hitler as Reich Chancellor and many of them even hoped for the abolition of the 175-th article of the Criminal code, adopted in 1872, and provides for a prison punishment "for unnatural sexual acts between male persons"

In the first months of Nazi Germany, " the attitude towards homosexuals was very tolerant, even clearly respectful," wrote born in 1895 theologian and educator Kuno Fidler. But in 1934, this tacit tolerance was quickly brought to an end. The cause of the fracture was the so-called putsch REM.
Chief of staff of the SA Ernst röhm was considered the "second man in the state" and enjoyed the utmost respect of Hitler. But he was a member of the homosexual organization "Union for human rights" (Bund für Menschenrecht) and supported the abolition of the 175th article. His own homosexuality was an open secret. Despite this, Hitler claimed that he learned about it only in 1934. At the end of June 1934 Hitler ordered the arrest of the leaders of the SA and kill most of them. He REM died the 1st of July. :geek:

Since that time, the Nazi party intensified the persecution of homosexuals: the number of arrests and convictions has increased four times. If in 1933 of such sentences was 957 in 1937 already 9244. In Berlin Gestapo was is based a special Department, which led accounting homosexuals and "fought" with them.
Kuno Fiedler, for example, was arrested by the Gestapo in 1936, accused of "organizing a gay-based spy network." However, he managed to escape from prison and settle in Switzerland, where he then lived until his death in 1973.

At the time of the conclusion of homosexuals to custody were considered "educational measure". National socialists regarded same-sex love between men as "in principle curable disease." The aim was to force homosexuals to conformist social behavior, because according to the postulates of national socialism, the Germans were part of the "race of the masters", which was to be constantly reproduced. Homosexuals who do not obey, were to be ruthlessly "removed from the body of the people."

Logical question arises: if it was about ensuring the reproduction and preservation of the German race, then why were persecuted and lesbians? This question Zinn meets a new thesis.
The main role in the persecution of homosexuals since 1935 began to play Henry Himmler. Reichsfuhrer SS feared homosexual networks and plots. In his private notes he admitted that the theories of philosopher Hans blüher (Hans Blüher) deprived him of sleep.
