Heat stroke, also known as sun stroke, is a type of severe heat illness that results in a body temperature greater than 40.0 °C (104.0 °F) and confusion. Other symptoms include red, dry or damp skin, headache, and dizziness. Onset can be sudden or gradual. Complications may include seizures, rhabdomyolysis, or kidney failure. Heat stroke occurs because of high external temperatures or physical exertion. Treatment of heat stroke involves rapid mechanical cooling along with standard resuscitation measures. The body temperature must be lowered quickly. The person should be moved to a cool area (indoors, or at least in the shade) and clothing removed to promote heat loss (passive cooling). Active cooling methods should also be used, if possible: The person is bathed in cold water, or a hyperthermia vest can be applied. (However, wrapping the person in wet towels or clothes can actually act as insulation and increase the body temperature.) Cold compresses to the torso, head, neck, and groin will help cool the victim. A fan or dehumidifying air-conditioning unit may be used to aid in evaporation of the water (evaporative method).

This most serious form of heat injury, heatstroke, can occur if your body temperature rises to 104 F (40 C) or higher. The condition is most common in the summer months. Heatstroke requires emergency treatment. Untreated heatstroke can quickly damage your brain, heart, kidneys and muscles. The damage worsens the longer treatment is delayed, increasing your risk of serious complications or death. If you think a person may be experiencing heatstroke, seek immediate medical help. Call 911 or your local emergency services number. Take immediate action to cool the overheated person while waiting for emergency treatment.

Heat exhaustion is less severe than heatstroke and heat cramps are the least severe of the three. Heatstroke is usually the consequence of prolonged physical exertion that results in the body's temperature rising above 104 F (40 C). Heatstroke requires emergency treatment. If left untreated it can cause severe damage to the brain, heart, kidneys, and muscles. The longer a person suffering from heatstroke is left untreated, the worse the damage to the body can be. If you encounter a person suffering from heatstroke or are experiencing heatstroke yourself, you need to call the paramedics immediately. While you wait for medical attention there are a number of steps you can take to ease the symptoms of heatstroke.

Move the person out of the sun and into the shade or an air conditioned room. An air conditioned room is ideal as this will help begin to cool the patient down immediately. Once in the shade or the air conditioning, remove any unnecessary clothing that the patient may be wearing. Cover the patient's body with a damp sheet or spray them with cool water. Find a sheet that is big enough to cover the person from their neck to their toes and wet it in the sink. Cover the patient with the wet sheet and fan them with a notebook. If you do not have a sheet, use a water bottle to spray the patient's body with cool water. You can also apply water to the patient using a sopping wet sponge or cloth.

i haven's such an experience and do not know how does it feel, but i remeber the first symptoms and medical aid from colleage. The sighns of atack are: face drooping on one side, like a lopsided smile, trouble walking, weakness or numbness in an arm or leg, particularly on one side of the body, confusion, like you can’t think clearly or do something you can normally do, slurred speech, tongue doesn't work on one side, severe, sudden headache.
If you or somebody out of your family felt it then you have to call the emergency.

you need to be able to recognize the warning signs of heatstroke . With heatstroke your vital organs shut down. Many people even stop sweating. It is like your body has given up.
If you have a sunstroke you need call a doctor. Until the ambulance arrives, cool the person off as best you can. If they can walk and it is not far, get them into air-conditioning. Otherwise, have them lie down in the shade. Take off all but their underclothes. Spray or bathe them with cool water and fan them. If the person is unconscious, place them on their side so their tongue won’t impede their airway. :!: If you have ice, place a pack on the person’s groin and armpits, and under their neck.
